Mullard MAS82

Mullard MAS82

An AC Mains valve radio (lw, mw, sw bands), made in 1946, and was Mullard's version of the Philips 206A. It has the EBL31 output & detector valve, like most Philips, Mullard & Pye receivers employed at that time. It is a notoriously difficult valve to obtain, the solution being, to change the wiring to the valve base to accommodate an EL33 valve, and add two germanium diodes to replace the two diodes that were in the EBL31 valve.
