Mullard MAS281
This
AC Mains (lw, mw & sw bands) set was made in 1946, and was the equivalent
of the Philips 170A, the latter set was in a bakelite cabinet, but Mullard had
a wood cabinet version. The valve line-up was EF39, ECH35, EF39, EBL31, AZ31,
& EM34 ("magic-eye").
As with the Philips set, the Mullard had a complex output transformer &
feedback stage, which may cause some difficulty in obtaining a replacement,
if the transformer has gone o/c on the primary winding.
